The real mis-information continues to come from the White House. If you listen to the President you would be led to believe that the alternative option to his plan is to do nothing.

That's far from the case.

The opposition wants health care reform to start with Tort reform - I give VFC's Take on Health Care Reform here - but the Administration nor Congress will entertain that though because they're all lawyers - that is the bottom line.

Also, cut down on the fraudulent claims in the health care system and you're going to save at least hundreds of millions of dollars PER YEAR nation wide, according to published reports.

Before those two items are entertained by this Administration, VFC's House can't take their commitment to reforming health care seriously - and neither should America.

We need to do something, but let's do it right.

Next, let's address all the people that are not covered by health care.

There's a portion of the uninsured that I want no part in paying for out of my pocket - which is essentially what we'll be doing when they raise our taxes to pay for this; the group that makes a conscious decision to not purchase any because they'd rather spend their money on something else.

We all know people in this group.

They can afford it, but that trip to Florida and the packs of cigarettes are more important to them than making sure that they're covered.

That's a conscious choice and there's no reason that families that choose to NOT take that trip to Florida so that they can pay their bills - including the health insurance bill - should have to help bail out the irresponsible. But that goes against the theme of this administration, because most of the housing bailout is going to the ones who were most irresponsible.

Next, I'm tired of the politicians milking and manipulating our sympathy to gain support of their health care bill. They constantly prance the sick and diseased in front of the cameras looking for our sympathy by saying that these victims were turned away for health care but would have been covered under the proposed plan.

But if you listen closely to some of the stories - there's quite a few of them that never got themselves covered in the first place, then when they got sick - they wanted to get covered. That's not how the game works.

You get covered so that if you become sick, your covered. You don't get sick first and then look to get covered, maybe the real problem is our education system if so many people don't understand that.

If you roll the dice and play with fire by not getting yourself covered, then you pay the piper (in cash) when you get sick. There's no reason those that have protected themselves by paying to be covered should have to - this is a recurring theme if you haven't noticed - bail out the irresponsible.

Again, we need reform, but let's do it right.

Some Democrat politicians, most notably Nancy Pelosi, have insinuated over the past few days that the people showing up at town hall meetings around the country that hold opposing views on health care than the current government are swastika-carrying and Timothy McVeigh-thinkalikes.

My first thought is that it's probably not a good political move to relegate anyone who disagrees with you as irrelevant - especially those that are actually hard working American taxpayer.

My second thought would be that if these politicians really believe that there are that many Nazi and Tim McVeigh lovers in this country, then they need to drop health care and focus on the internal terrorist threat in the country.

I'm inclined to believe that my first thoughts are more accurate - I don't believe these politicians really mean what they say (surprising, I know), they just can't stand it when average Americans, who they consider stupider than themselves, disagree with them.

I'll actually defend Nacy Pelosi for once; being that she represents one of the most liberal districts in America, you can't blame her for being shocked when people disagree with her. As for the rest of them, they may be committing political suicide by being so condescending with their constituency.

Everyone knows that politicians think that they're better than everyone else - that's a given; but the people get angry when they're actually called stupid.
